Chevrolet has added even more customization options for the 2024 model. These included new exterior color options and expanded availability for popular appearance packages, such as the Midnight Edition, which is now available with the High Country.
The standard powertrain pairs the TurboMax engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission that is available with either rear- or four-wheel drive. The TurboMax is a turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The optional powertrains all have a 10-speed automatic and are available with RWD and 4WD as well. These include a 355-hp 5.3L V8, a 420-hp 6.2L V8 and a 3.0L turbo-diesel I6 that makes 305 hp and 495 lb.-ft.
Standard equipment includes a 7-inch infotainment touch screen and is upgraded to a 13.4-inch touch screen with the LT trim level and up. Standard driver assists include a rearview camera and automatic headlamps. Options include auto high-beam control, intelligent cruise control, front collision warning with automatic braking, lane departure warning with steering assist, a digital rearview mirror and a head-up display.
Push-button start and keyless entry are standard equipment for the new Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in New Castle through Preston GM Superstore. Beyond the base trim level, remote engine start is also included. A receiver hitch and trailer prewiring are included with the Custom trim level and up. The Trail Boss variants adds a rear automatic locking differential and the Z71 off-road suspension package. The ZR2 has the equipment as well but also a front automatic locking differential and adaptive suspension dampers.

We offer 10 exterior color options for the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Slate Gray and Lakeshore Blue are the new options added this year. Those are standard options included in the MSRP along with most other colors listed. The exceptions are Radiant Red Tintcoat and Glacier Blue Metallic. Those are premium colors that require a small additional fee.
